  • We do not offer sliding scale services, as we believe therapy should remain private and confidential, without the need to provide financial documents like W-2s or tax returns.

However, if you need financial assistance, we do partner with the following nonprofit organizations to provide therapy scholarships

    • Triumph over Trauma Healing International

    • Boris L. Henson Foundation

    • The Loveland Foundation

  • We are a private-pay, out-of-network practice, but you may be eligible for reimbursement through your insurance. To make this easier, we’ve partnered with Thrizer, allowing you to pay only a copay instead of the full fee upfront—saving clients an average of 70% on sessions.

  • More Freedom, More Privacy, Better Care.

While insurance makes therapy accessible, private pay offers key benefits:

Privacy: No risk of employers (government, military, corporate) accessing your health records.

Whole-Person Care: No forced diagnosis for coverage—your treatment is about you, not just a label.

Flexible Treatment: No session limits—customized plans allow for longer or more frequent sessions when needed.

In other words, invest in therapy on your terms.

  • 🔹 Specialized Care: Finding a Black therapist in Charlotte, NC who is trauma-informed, EMDR-trained, and expressive arts-focused in-network may be rare.

🔹 Cost May Be Comparable: If you have a high-deductible plan, you may pay the same out-of-pocket whether in or out of network. Plus, OON benefits may reimburse more than an in-network copay.

🔹 Faster Access to Therapy: Many in-network therapists have long waitlists—you deserve support now.

🔹 The Right Fit Matters: Therapy is like dating—when you find the right match, you know. Don’t settle for convenience over connection.

💡 Check your OON benefits below and invest in the care you deserve.
