Sis, let’s be honest…

✅ Are you tired of feeling like you gotta bottle everything up just to keep going, knowing deep down it’s all weighing on you?

✅ Do you struggle to find the words to explain how much you’re carrying: between work, family, and just being a woman of color in this world and feeling like no one understands?

✅ Do you crave a way to heal that feels creative and authentic, instead of just sitting and talking about your pain?

These struggles don’t define you, but they can weigh on your spirit. This doesn’t have to be your life.

Meet Your Therapist

Hi, I’m Akinlana, the “Hey Sis!” Therapist.

I’m not here to throw therapy clichés at you. As a therapist with a Brooklyn/Caribbean vibe who lived in Africa, I get it. I’ve created a space where you can be your whole, authentic self. Expressive arts therapy can reduce stress, raise self-awareness, provide you with the tools to move through challenging situations, and help you get your life back.

You’ve been holding it down for everyone else, but Sis, it’s time to pour into YOU. Expressive arts therapy is a space where you can release that heavy energy—no judgment, just freedom to feel and heal.

  • Sometimes, words aren’t enough. Through movement, visual art, music, and other forms of creativity, you’ll discover new ways to express yourself, get clarity, process heavy stuff, and tap into your inner strength that’s always been there.

This is healing on your terms, where your identity and experiences as a woman of color are seen, valued, and honored. A space where you can release the pain and reconnect with joy.
